There are many differences to resale stores. You should know the differences and educate yourself. Many words are used to describe “used” clothing but they do have different meanings. So remember you may search for resale, consignment, thrift or used clothing but you have to ask what that stores terms are, don’t just assume you know.

A store that “consigns” your clothing will sell them then you get a cash percentage or an in-store credit percentage. Always ask what your split is and when you get paid. At The Kids Edge you get 40% and it is a 90 day consignment period.

Stores that “trade” mean you get instant in-store credit. But remember some stores limit what you can use your credit on, and they exclude new and sale merchandise. At The Kids Edge we give you 50% trade and there are NO exclusions. There is also no expiration date to use your credit.

When you decide where to recycle your kids clothing you have many options, just make sure you pick the store you feel works for you best.
